The boat Little Murka with pink kite out in front and Dom Mee at the helm, tiny amid the towering storm seas of the both Atlantic

I was pinned down in NW gale most of yesterday but had a crack at kiting at 0730hrs (0730 I must be desperate). However new gales from SE came in fast by 0900hrs 30 knots and it was turning very nasty, I am now on sea anchor once more. Book Ipod Book Ipod Book??? Decisions decisions!!

I was trying to head north in an effort to free us from the grips of this current but I think I am still stuck in the blooming thing. I will try and get out of it when winds allow and head east, but with Hurricane Rita on route that may not be possible. ( I feel I have been out here long enough to have the right to name the next one, sort that out Adrian!)

Looking at my plot my Westerly progress seems to have slowed slightly. All I hope and pray for is that little bit of progress this morning has made a difference.

I am going for it just got to get out of this current and gun east again.
