Arctic Quest 1832, are outbound safe and sound
The time is 19:00 on Monday 26th July. It has been a very long old day. 04:00 I left this morning to arrive at 7e Communications in Surrey at 07:30 to collect the final vital cogs of the teams communications kit.
Then a quick whip along the M25, yep, like you get a quick whip along the M25 at 08:00 on a Monday morning. Arriving in plenty of time for a few Press and TV interviews at Gatwick Airport, prior to the team getting checked in.
Thanks to the lovely lady at the Continental desk the team filtered through effortlessly. I then handed a bundle of Canadian Dollars to the team to aid them on their way. Before they drifted through the departures gate.
It was then a few hours in my Mini for the journey home to Somerset. The team all had fire in their bellies for this project, months of hard work, planning begging and borrowing has all got them this far, only they as a team will make this journey a reality. Good luck guys I will see you in September.
