Westerly Mini & Mini UK Sponsorship
Dom Mee the West countries very own maritime explorer and adventurer, accompanied by his project manager Adrian Wibrew, visited Westerly Mini Exeter to collect their two new Mini Coopers.
“This partnership between Westerly Mini and Mini UK seemed a logical relationship for us to develop. An institution such as the Mini is symbolic of all that is British.
My ideals are drawn from British Explorer’s that went before me, the Mini’s iconic status is the perfect vehicle from which to carry my vision” quoted Dom.
“Westerly Exeter is very proud and excited about sponsoring Dom on his forthcoming Quest. We will be following his every movement around the world. Dom as well as MINI, will be having a 'Adventure' of a lifetime in the true spirit of this British built car, which has become a motoring icon of our age”. Quoted Westerly’s MD Peter Denton.
The southwest’s explorer has recently returned from the Arctic. He is now planning to return to the region with a larger group in August this year to explore areas not visited for over 175 years, which he will be announcing soon.
A documentary following his last adventure will be televised in the spring. Also the development of his new yacht is well underway for the ‘The Quest’ a circumnavigation of the globe via the two Polar region’s. Which will entail over 400 day’s at sea, solo unsurported. A world first, that will start and finish in Exmouth
